ELF Cosmetics Review Part I (Face & Eyes)

hi girls~ Today I'm gonna do a review about ELF Cosmetics that I bought recently through their UK site. ELF is an American company that produces their products in China and they are really cheap, about 1.70E each, and they DO NOT test on animals. They got 3 line products: $1 line, Studio line and Mineral line. Studio line and Mineral line are a bit more (un)expensive (3.50E to 6E). After watching some reviews online I decided to order some products to try their quality myself. So, there is what I bought:

Eyebrow Stencil (1.70E); Duo Eye Shadow Cream in Butter Pecan and Sugar Cookie (1.70E each); Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Black (1.70E); Eyeshadow Primer in Sheer (3.50E); Nail Polish in Plum and Chocolate (1.70E each); Mineral Lipstick in Cheerful Cherry (4E); Hypershine Lip Gloss in Sugar Plum (1.70E); Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Tart (1.70E); Luscious Lip Glaze in Plum Pout (1.70E); Lip Defining Brush (1.70E); Eye Shadow Brush (1.70E); Eyeliner Brush (1.70E); Smudge Eye Sponge (1.70E); Clarifying Pressed Powder in Apicot Beige and Ivory (1.70E each); Shimmering Facial Whip in Golden Peach (1.70E); Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 in Ivory (1.70E each); Tone Correcting Concealer in Light Beige (1.70E); High Definition Powder (6.80E)

I'm going to split this review in two parts: fist: Face and Eyes, second: Lips, brushes, nails and others.

Lets get started!

Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 - Ivory

This Tinted moisturizer have SPF 15, wich is great. They came in a variety of colors, and you can choose what color suits you better, also, if you dont find any color that suits you, you can mix two colors and try to find your color. If you have very light skin, Ivory is the lighest color they have. The tube is surprisingly tiny, but perfect for travel. Its easy to blend but not give you as much coverage as you wish, but remember, this is not a foundation. If you have oily skin, dont worry in using this product! Finnaly, this smells very good! Some people have troubes with smells on makeup, but this smell is very very pleasent, it smells like oranges!

Tone Correcting Concealer - Light Beige

Many under eye concealers look pasty, chalky, and too obvious, but this is not. It truly hides the dark circles and corrects the tone around my nose and chin area. Lasts all day and it blends easily. For 1.70E it is GREAT!

High Definition Powder

This powder is supposed to cover pores, and leave a nice finish too. This should be applied over the top of our finished makeup, that’s after concealer, foundation and blush. The powder itself is white, but has a brushes away nicely to leave a non chalky finish. Its got quite a light texture, and absorbs oil nicely to keep me matte. The powder can’t really add any coverage, because there’s no pigment in it but it does leave the skin with a really lovely soft glow. I think this really cover my pores, and made my skin look soft and more definition.

Shimmering Facial Whip - Golden Peach

This product can be used on cheecks, lips and eyes! It is very shimmering and almost metalic but I dont think the color lasts very long, but until it lasts gives your face a healthy glow.

Clarifying Pressed Powder - Ivory and Apicot Beige

I ordered two colors, but Ivory is the one that suits my skin better. Light Beige is very dark for my skin, probably I will give it on a giveway soon. This control the shine and create a matte finish on your skin, but I dont feel that it lasts very long.

Duo Eye Shadow Cream - Sugar Cookie and Butter Pecan

This cream eye shadows surprised me! they are very pigmented but unfortunately they didn't last very long (about 4 hours). The colors are beautiful but I dont recomended it!

Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - Black

I'm using this product every day, I really like it, It is very easy to use, but I dont feel this is very waterproof as they said. the last picture shows two swatches, to prove that this is not waterproof, I let the product dry and then put some water and the swatch just faded away.

Mineral Eyeshadow Primer - Sheer

This product is from their Mineral line and works very very well! It creates a great canvas to apply my eyeshadow, and it held up all day and into the night!
