Ficaram tão curiosas tão curiosas que decidi fazer uma entrevista com a fundadora da marca herself! A querida Kessie respondeu a umas perguntinhas para o The Perfect Drug, espero que gostem!
The Perfect Drug- Quando, como e porquê fundaste a Lady K Loves?
Kessie- A Lady K Loves começou como um hobbie há alguns anos atrás, eu passava bastante tempo a fazer roupa para amigos, e muitos pediam para comprar algumas das minhas peças. Tem sido um trabalho a full time no ultimo ano, continuamos ainda relativamente novos, principalmente quando comparados com outras marcas como Vivien of Holloway ou Pinup Girl.
TPD- Sentes que há falta de marcas que façam reproduções vintage?
K- Quando comecei sentia que não haviam muitas, mas parece ter havido um enorme boom de marcas especializadas em reproduções vintage, é óptimo que agora existam tantas pessoas interessadas em criar projectos do género.

TPD- Sei que é dificil, mas diz-me qual é a tua peça favorita?
K- Estou completamente apaixonada pela nova verão dos fatos de banho Sindy que estarão cá fora este Verão, e visto as minhas calças jeans da marca todos os dias... A camisola Bernie faz também parte do meu armário. Mal posso esperar para ter uma variedade deste design, porque é fantástico. É realmente um momento interessante em termos de design, já que alguns deles estão à venda desde que comecei e feitos à mão, e são os itens que eu estou a trabalhar em projectos agora que estou realmente apaixonada.
TPD- Sendo plus size, sei como é difícil encontrar roupa que me sirva. A Lady K Loves tem essa atenção em tamanhos grandes. Como te sentes em relação a isso?
K- Os tamanhos é sempre um tema difícil, já tive feedback em relação aos nossos tamanhos, ora são pequenos, ou grandes, ou true size! Por isso tento não me preocupar muitos, e fazer a informação do site acessível e informativa o mais possível. Actualmente todos as peças têm tamanho XL (16 UK), e algumas chegam ao XXL, mas apesar de ter tido pedidos para tamanhos maiores, eles simplesmente não vendem. O meu objectivo é desenhar e fazer roupa confortável e que assente bem, por isso o publico plus size será sempre tido em consideração.
TPD- Como podemos ver uma nova colecção a sair?
K- Algumas novidades para a Primavera acabaram de sair, a Rodeo Queen e as saias rodadas com padrão gingham estão disponíveis, são fantásticos e tiveram já uma adesão fantástica!

You already know Lady K Loves, I made a post a few days ago showing my favorite designs. You were so curious that I decided to do an interview with the founder of the brand herself! The babydoll Kessie answered some questions for The Perfect Drug, hope you enjoy!
The Perfect Drug- When, how and why you started Lady K Loves clothing line?
Lady K Loves started as a hobby a few years back, I'd spend a long time making clothes for friends and having them ask to buy things I made for my self. It's been a full time job for the last year, so we're still relatively new, particularly when compared to companies like VoH or Pinup Girl
TPD- Do you feel there is a lack of vintage reproduction brands?

When I first started it felt like there wasn't that many, but there seems to have been a massive influx recently, it's great that there's so many fantastic people out there making such wonderful things.
TPD- I know this must be difficult but tell me which piece from your collection you love the most?

I'm completely in love with the new version of the Sindy swimsuits which will be out this summer, I wear my Lady K Loves jeans most days....the Bernie jumpers are a wardrobe staple for me too. I can't wait for the Verity styles to turn up because they are fantastic. It's actually an interesting time in terms of designs because some of them have been around since I first started and was hand sewing things, so it's actually the items which I'm working on designs for now that I'm really in love with
TPD- Being plus size, I know how hard is to find clothing that fits me. Lady K Love have this attention to make plus size clothing. How do you feel about that?

Sizing is such a difficult subject, I've had feedback that our sizing comes up small, or a little big, or true to size! So I try not to worry about it and make the information on the web site as helpful as possible. Currently all items come up to an XL (UK 16 equivalent), some things are coming into a XXL, but after getting requests for it, the larger sizes often don't sell. My aim is to design and make comfortable, flattering, wearable clothes that people love, so if there's a big audience for plus sizes it will always be considered.
TPD- When we can see a new collection pop out?
Well some of the new Spring items have just arrived, the Rodeo Queen and gingham Circle skirts are now in stock and the first of the new styles to arrive, they look fantastic and have already had a brilliant response!TPD- When we can see a new collection pop out?
